A few people I know, who like myself are into movies can’t stop talking about how great blu-ray and high definition is. Every DVD that I’ve seen on Blu-Ray costs at least $15, no matter if it’s an old movie or a new movie and I just don’t see myself spending that kind of money on old movies yet. I don’t even like spending that much on new releases, I usually wait until I find them cheap on eBay. A prime example of an overpriced Blu-Ray DVD is the Die Hard collection. It costs $110. It’s a 4 movie collection. I’m sorry, but I’ll never spend a hundred and ten dollars on 4 movies. High definition can wait.

What ever happened to Chia Pets? Back when I was a teenager they were super popular and there was a commercial on television about them every 10 minutes. “Cha cha cha Chia.. the pottery that grows”. I still see them at a few stores but I wonder if theyre anywhere near as popular as they used to be. I just thought about this and felt like posting it.

If you havent seen BET’s documentary series “American Gangster”, I would highly recommend that you check it out if youre into documentaries. The series chronicles several notorious black gangsters around America. Notorious for everything from selling crack cocaine to organized crime, this series takes you through their life. From their way to the top all the way to their down fall. You get to hear from close associates of the men who account first hand what it was like to be along the side of these criminals.
Season one just came out on DVD a while back, in case you missed it. Season two is currently airing on BET.
You can read more info about it here:

I’m a big fan of the show “The Unit“. It’s one of the best military-type shows that I have ever seen. The Unit stars Dennis Haysbert, Scott Foley, Max Martini, Demore Barnes and Robert Patrick. The Unit is a covert Special Forces team that does not exist. Their cover is the 303rd logistical studies group. They are assigned covert military operations by the President and never get credit for their actions. Their wives are also a tight group protecting their husbands. They protect their husband’s secrets and maintain their cover.
Check it out if you get a chance. It just returned for season 3 and is only into the second episode so far.

I recently read that the show Dexter, about a serial killer, is coming back at the end of August for season 2. Dexter is a great show and I am really looking forward to it coming back.

A lot of teenagers are anxiously awaiting the release of “High School Musical 2″, which will be shown on Disney Channel in August.
“High School Musical” turned out to be a big phenomenon when it was released and it made stars out of a lot of the actors.
“High School Musical” for those who haven’t seen it is like “Grease” meets “Fame”. Here’s hoping that part two will be just as electrifying.

I love that Kelloggs ad where three guys are talking about what they like about the particular brand of Kelloggs. And just out of the blue, the third guy says something about liking the “ELLO” in the word Kelloggs which he says reminds him of the British. Then he proceeded to say “Ello Gov’ner”. Cracks me up every time.

He’ssssssss baaaaaaaaaaaaacccccckkkkkkkkkkk. The bitchy chef from the United Kingdom Gordon Ramsay is back for another season of “Hell’s Kitchen”. Aspiring and would-be chefs and cooks have all entered the reality show competition for an opportunity own their very own restaurant. Despite what people think about Ramsay, I think he is on-point, honest and a perfectionist who believes in excellence. I love this show and I think that Gordon is the right man to whip these chefs into shape especially if they want to survive in this industry. So move your asses! Tune in to Hell’s Kitchen Mondays at 8pm on Fox oh and… kiss my grits!
