I had a cousin that had a drug problem for several years. Everyone in our family was trying to get him to go into rehab for addiction treatment, but he constantly refused. Finally, after he overdosed and was hospitalized, he agreed to addiction treatment. We were all relieved to know that he was finally seeking help. He has now been clean and sober for over 3 years. His entire life has changed and he wished he would have done it many years ago. If more people would be aware of how it could change their life, more people would get addiction treatment. That is the best way to being drug and alcohol free, rather than spending your life behind bars.
Today I came across a website called CarAngel.com. It’s basically a service that allows you to donate cars and other items and they then sell the cars and items and use the money to make childrens videos. This actually seems like an interesting company. I’ve never really heard of anything like this, but I’m all for it, if it helps kids. I’m going to talk with my girlfriend tonight and see what she thinks about donating an old car that we never use anymore.
A good friend of mine just checked himself into a drug rehabilitation facility. He has struggled with drugs and alcohol for about 12 years and all of his friends and family finally convinced him that it was time for a change. I went with him to look at several drug and alcohol rehab facilities until we found one that he felt comfortable with. We were told that he’ll probably be in drug rehab for about 2 months, give or take a couple of weeks. I really hope this helps him turn his life around.
The other day I was walking out of a record store in the city and some guy walked up and asked if I wanted to buy some gold chains, gold rings, gold bracelets or gold watches. I was half tempted to buy something, but you really never know if youre getting real gold from them kind of people. It was probably real gold, but with my luck it would be some 99 cent store junk.
I was in total disbelief when I heard about some kids in New York who burnt a homeless man to his death as he laid in front of a church. I mean what is this world coming to? What did that old man ever do to society? This is unreal I can’t imagine how parents could raise their kids to be so evil. I hope they get life for what they did. If I were the judge I won’t even give them a trial. Just put them in jail. It’s unbelievable.

I was reading an article a few days ago about relationships and I thought about my own husband who is hell-bent on always becoming the victor when we argue. Most of the times I’m the one that is right in the argument but he won’t ever admit that. So the article says that whenever a woman is arguing with a man, she should tell always tell him “you’re right” followed by “but this is what I want to do.” I’m gonna try that with this hasty husband of mine. Lord knows I can’t deal with the arguments.
A while back my friend and I were going to a local bar to play some pool. We pulled into the parking lot next to a guy that was leaving. When the guy backed his car out, his front end smashed into the side of my friends car. We both got out to talk to the guy and asked for his insurance information and what not. He claimed he had no insurance and there was nothing he could do about the damage! We both got pretty upset and the guy just drove off. Luckily a few people inside knew who the guy was and we were able to file a police report and get the damages fixed.
A friend of mine recently got out of a drug rehabilitation center. He checked himself into the rehab center for alcohol rehab. He has struggled with his addiction to alcohol for many years and nobody really thought he had any plans of slowing down. He finally saw what his drinking was doing to himself and everyone he cared about so he decided that rehab was the right choice.
It actually seems like rehab did him some good. He has been out of the rehab center for over a month and hasent had one drop of alcohol. Everyone is very proud of him for taking the liberty and checking himself in and trying to clean his life up.

Some close friends of mine recently sent out some announcements to let everyone know that they are getting engaged to be married. It seems like everyone around me is getting married and it’s kind of putting alot of pressure on me. I love my girlfriend but I know that I’m not ready to get married. We live together and are very happy, I’m just not sure if I want to take a chance on marriage at this point.
