He’s Getting A Popcorn Machine

A friend of mine came over the other day and saw the popcorn machine that my girlfriend won at work a while back and he loved it. He’s talking about ordering a couple different home theater popcorn machines for his house. I’m sure his wife is just going to love that (sarcasm). I can’t blame him, though. I really enjoy our popcorn machine. It tastes so much better than the bag popped stuff.

New Plasma Cutter

A friend of mine’s company recently picked up a new plasma cutting machine. They do alot of construction and the plasma cutter really comes in handy and allows them to fabricate alot of things out of various materials. Body shops and car factories also use plasma cutters to fabricate different parts of chasis and what not. It really is an interesting device.

Silk Trees

My girlfriend keeps trying to get me to buy one of those silk trees that they offer on NearlyNatural.com. I have to admit that they look pretty good, different than most plants or trees you see at other peoples homes. They go for about $200 and you don’t have to water or take care of them (because theyre made of silk). I might go ahead and order the one she has been wanting and surprise her with it.

Corporate Achievement Awards

The other day at work my company had a little ceremony and they gave out various corporate achievement awards. They gave awards out for a wide range of reasons. From salesman of the year to best attendance. At first everyone thought the ceremony was going to be really cheesy and corny, but it ended up being pretty nice. They had very nice plaques and custom promotional products made by a company called Global Design Network (GDN). I checked on Google and found their website. The address is GDNNYC.com. Check it out if youre looking for custom awards and promotional products. They do some nice work.

Digital Picture Frame

A while back a friend of mine got me and my girlfriend one of those digital photo frames. The digital picture frame lets you stick the memory card of your digital camera in a slot and the digital photo frame has a little LCD screen on it that displays the pictures from the card. You can either display the digital photos in a slideshow type of way, or you can have it just display one picture the whole time. I really think it’s a pretty interesting product. It just goes to show you that we’re living in a digital age and technology has come a long way. My girlfriend really loves it. She actually went out and purchased another digital frame for our bedroom after seeing how nice this one was. She always has it displaying pictures of us, our dog and her parents. Check out DigitalFramez.com if youre interested in digital picture frames.

Check Your Blood Oxygen Levels Easily

A while back I was at the doctors office with my girlfriend and they recommended that she buy a product called a pulse oximeter. This device allows people to check their blood oxygen level and pulse rate, quickly and easily. Almost identical to the device they put on your finger in the hospital, this handy fingertip pulse oximeter ranges from $124 to $230. This isnt really a bad price if you think about the benefits of being able to check your blood oxygen levels and pule anytime you want.

Water Bottle Filter

A while back I came across a website called PureWater2Go.com. They have a unique little water bottle filter that I had never seen before. The filters actually go down inside of the bottle and can last up to 3 months or 40 gallons, even up to 80 gallons worth of water. This may prove to be a wise invesement rather than spending all that money on purified bottled water from the supermarket.

Portable Washing Machine Here I Come!

It’s hard when you live in an apartment building and have to use the laundry that everybody is using. No, not because most times you go to the room and have to wait your turn to wash because the machines are occupied, but because of what you see when you go there. Last week I saw a tenant washing his sneakers in the washer and I was livid. I wash my baby’s clothes down there. So what does a person do when the landlord would not allow washing machines in the home? Enter the portable washer, a small but durable looking equipment that is capable of washing all your fine things and of course small stuff like baby clothing. The washer looks like an oversized blender but it packs in a job well done. With only two speeds set on it and costing $49, I’ve heard of people who have even washed their linens in this washing. The trick of doing the latter is to wash it one at a time.
