My dad was going to surprise my mom for their twenty fifth anniversary with a diamond ring. He took me shopping with him to several jewelry stores. You could tell a big difference in loose diamonds and other diamonds. We went back to my house and got onto the internet to read more about diamonds, because he wanted it to be very special for her. When reading about loose diamonds, we found out that they were expertly cut and polished, which made them worth more than some. You can buy them alone, or have them placed into a setting you already have, or buy a ring that already had loose diamonds in them. My dad chose a ring that was a lot like the one he first gave my mom, and had the diamond replaced with loose diamonds, which made it much prettier. While they were at dinner on their anniversary, he gave it to her. She loved it so much that all she could do was hug him and cry as she kept staring at it.
