Today I came across a website called CarAngel.com. It’s basically a service that allows you to donate cars and other items and they then sell the cars and items and use the money to make childrens videos. This actually seems like an interesting company. I’ve never really heard of anything like this, but I’m all for it, if it helps kids. I’m going to talk with my girlfriend tonight and see what she thinks about donating an old car that we never use anymore.
A friend of mine recently had to go through a military relocation. He was stationed at a local base and they decided to move him someplace else. It’s been a real pain for him and his family, but he really has no choice in the matter. He loves being in the military and says that he can’t complain because he knew what to expect when he signed up.
A friend of mine from work has been trying to get me to invest in real estate. He recently started investing some of his extra income into Wilmington real estate and he says that it’s a great way to invest and make quite a bit of money. I might see if he’ll sit down and run through everything that’s involved. I can always use some extra money.
A good friend of mine just checked himself into a drug rehabilitation facility. He has struggled with drugs and alcohol for about 12 years and all of his friends and family finally convinced him that it was time for a change. I went with him to look at several drug and alcohol rehab facilities until we found one that he felt comfortable with. We were told that he’ll probably be in drug rehab for about 2 months, give or take a couple of weeks. I really hope this helps him turn his life around.
Everyone my girlfriend works with have recently started this big dieting comtest to see who can lose the most weight before Easter. They all agreed that diet pills can be used to assist in the weight loss. My girlfriend decided to try a diet pill called 7 Keto. She has been reading all about it and it’s really supposed to work very well. I guess we’ll see.
I havent really talked about anything that I got for Christmas. One of my favorite gifts was a nice Ogio Flight SS golf bag. I’ve seen the same Ogio golf bag retail for as much as $250. I really didn’t expect my girlfriend to spend that much on me, but she didn’t stop there. She also got me several other great gifts. This Christmas turned out very nice.
My grandfather just celebrated his 75th birthday this past weekend. I really wasn’t sure what to get him so I got him a nice pocket watch. I had no idea what pocket watches were good, so I started looking around online and found several resources to assist me in finding one worth the money. I ended up getting him an engravable Charles Hubert 14k gold-plated two-tone white dial pocket watch with date. He was very surprised when he opened it and saw what I had gotten for him. Everyone else just got him little small meaningless gifts.
My uncle recently had to sign up for a medicare supplement insurance plan. Medicare really doesn’t pay as much as it should. My uncle has very frequent doctors visits and his co-pays and deductibles really do add up. The medicare supplement plan that he chose did cost a little more than the typical medicare advantage plans, but the benefits have already been well worth the extra cost.
Yesterday I went to a few fitness stores and looked at weight benches. I’ve been wanting a weight bench for a while now, but I never wanted to spend the money on myself and buy one. I found one that I really liked called the Weider Core 600 bench. It sells for right around $280 and I think it’s going to be well worth the money.
Until recently, I had previously never had a chance to stay in a condo hotel. I didn’t think there would be anything special about it, but it’s actually a great experience. My office sent me out of town on business and gave me the choice to stay at any hotel that I wanted. I started looking around for condo hotels and found one. They paid for the whole thing and it was very nice. If you have the extra money, I highly recommend trying it.
