Last week I was walking through the mall and there was a company there conducting some market research surveys. I usually don’t  sign up for them, but they were offering thirty bucks to participate. We watched a video about a product and filled out a little survey asking if the commercial made us want to try the product and a few other questions like that. It only took about ten to fifteen minutes total. I would participate in them all day long if I could. It pays better than my real job.

A couple of years ago a few of my friends and I went on a little road trip. We stayed at a few awesome little bed and breakfast spots along the way and met some really interesting and unique people. I wish my schedule would allow me to take another road trip. I really like being out on the open road and just having a good time with some friends.

One of the other managers in my office was talking about ordering a bunch of christmas cards to send to everyone who works for the company. The guys at the corporate office left him in charge of taking care of it and he wasn’t really sure about which company to order the cards from. We were looking around online and found GalleryCollection.com. They have a nice selection of cards for just about any occasion. Birthday cards to Christmas cards corporate cards and more. They also seem to be made nice. We’ll probably endup ordering a bunch through them. We didn’t really want to just go out and buy some cheap looking cards that sell for 5 cents each. GalleryCollection.com is also a supporter of Soldiers’ Angels (www.SoldiersAngels.org). They recently donated 280,000 cards to the organization to be sure our troops received cards over the holidays. You can’t really go wrong buying from a company who supports organizations like Soldiers’ Angels.

The “Need For Speed” series of racing video games has always been my favorite racing games. I’ve loved them every since I played it for the first time on PSX. I really want to try the newest addition to the Need For Speed family called Need For Speed: Pro Street. I think I’m going to buy it for PC since I Don’t have an Xbox360 console. A friend of mine keeps telling me I should buy an Xbox360 but I just don’t want to spend $350 on it since I’m really only into a few different games.

What ever happened to Chia Pets? Back when I was a teenager they were super popular and there was a commercial on television about them every 10 minutes. “Cha cha cha Chia.. the pottery that grows”. I still see them at a few stores but I wonder if theyre anywhere near as popular as they used to be. I just thought about this and felt like posting it.

I’ve been looking around for christmas gift ideas for friends and family since a couple of months ago. Now I’m looking for some reasonably priced horse riding apparel for my nephew. He loves horses and horseback riding and he can never get enough of the cowboy rancher style clothing. He told me about this website he shops at. It’s called The Equestrian Corner (TheEquestrianCorner.com). I was browsing through their website and I actually found several items that I’m considering ordering for him.

I’ve been looking around online to see where I can get the overall best free checking account, in terms of freatures and everything. I havent been able to find anything that beats WaMu (WaMu.com). You only need one dollar to open the checking account, which is very nice. They give you free checks, free wire transfers, no monthly service charge, free ATM withdrawals and more. Good luck finding something better than this. I’m going to sign up within the next couple of days.

I’ve been thinking about buying a new wireless router. My old router has been acting weird lately and sometimes it just disconnects and stops responding out of nowhere until I unplug it and plug it back in. This is getting pretty old. A few times I have been pretty close to throwing this thing out of my window or just smashing it against the wall.

My girlfriend’s best friend recently had her first baby. Naturally,  all of her friends that don’t have any kids yet are all getting baby fever. My girlfriend is no exception. She has been asking me constantly when we’re going to try and have a baby. She got even more into babies when we had to go shopping for baby furniture so she could give her friend a nice gift at her baby shower. We wouldn’t have really spent that much if it wasn’t her best friend. We looked at baby cribs, baby chairs, strollers, you name it and we probably looked at it. I know it made my girlfriend happy to spend a little more than everyone else on her friend and it made me happy just to see her that happy and excited about it. We ended up getting a nice stroller combo for a very fair price. I’m going to go over our finances tonight and see if we can afford to have a baby right now. I hope we can. I really would like to start having kids and I know my girlfriend would make a great mother.

When I was younger my whole family took a vacation to Branson, Missouri. As a kid I really don’t remember it being that exciting. After going back to Branson as an adult I can really appreciate everything the town has to offer. Plenty of shows and attractions for everyone. I wouldn’t mind taking my girlfriend and her parents to Branson next summer.
