Affordable Homes In Tennessee

Tennessee may be a little country for some, but it is still a place that people want to move to. Why? From what I hear, prices for rental mortgage are cheap. In some spots in Tennessee you will find a three bedroom home complete with fireplace and large living room space available for $500 a month with a down payment of $300. My best friend is bent moving to Tennessee. And as good as that price sounds, there must be a valid reason why it’s that affordable. I’m not even going to try to speculate about this, I would just wish her good luck.

New Online Scam from Africa

Nigerians and Ghanaians have added a new scam to their repertoire: the sweetheart scam. Sweetheart scam explained is that these African men and women are using pictures US models and signing up on dating websites. They immediately lock in to as much vulnerable women as they can until they find one that is into them and their looks. Charming the pants out of these women, these men work with a noted script, one which would first feature them professing their love and then wanting to get married and settle down. And then when the women get too comfortable, they start working on their pockets. They come up with stories, which run the gamut of being stranded in another country, saying a family member is sick or that they want to get into business and want the woman to pay the initial cost. So lady’s beware. Put your head before your heart.

The Snow Cost Them Their Jobs

People in the landscaping profession have been literally pulling their hair out because of the strange New England weather that has been occurring. Some landscapers who include snow removal into their business during the winter months were going out of their minds at the non-appearance of heavy snow. A lot of these businesses suffered incredibly by this since they were not able to generate money by planting flower gardens due to the weather. By the time the snow did come, a few landscaping companies had already thrown in the towel, selling their equipment on craiglist.org.

Thank You Bank Lady

It’s rare when a bank can issue you a gift for doing business with them and when they do; you just have to give them the necessary pat on the back. I went to open up a checking account yesterday and to my surprise the representative came back with a blue bag and told me that it was my gift for opening up the account. It turned out to be a portable chair, which had a juice handle. This impressed me. I wonder what you get after you take out a loan with them? Hmm…

Catalog Shopping

Catalog shopping is the easiest way to get stuff for your home or personal items and I’ve found myself doing a lot of that lately. With the price of gas being what it is today, shopping by catalog is convenient and saves you from running to the store for stuff that isn’t that urgent. Linens, clothes, jewelry, cosmetics… you name it, they are in these catalogs. All you need is a credit or debit card, a phone or access to an Internet and you are on your way to purchase the stuff that you desire.

Hell’s Kitchen

He’ssssssss baaaaaaaaaaaaacccccckkkkkkkkkkk. The bitchy chef from the United Kingdom Gordon Ramsay is back for another season of “Hell’s Kitchen”. Aspiring and would-be chefs and cooks have all entered the reality show competition for an opportunity own their very own restaurant. Despite what people think about Ramsay, I think he is on-point, honest and a perfectionist who believes in excellence. I love this show and I think that Gordon is the right man to whip these chefs into shape especially if they want to survive in this industry. So move your asses! Tune in to Hell’s Kitchen Mondays at 8pm on Fox oh and… kiss my grits!

Tyler Perry On Overload

I must admit that I’m no fan of moviemaker and actor Tyler Perry. The first time I heard about Perry was through my husband who swears that his brand of comedy was funny. To be truthful I don’t get this man and his jokes. Maybe it’s me. So I stay away from renting his corny DVDs and from checking out his movies at the cinema. But when you bring Tyler to my TV via his TBS debut “House of Payne”, then things get personal. On the new sitcom, Tyler plays Madea and everything is wrong with this show. First off, typical Perry the jokes aren’t funny and secondly it looks like a stage play with TV cameras. I don’t see Tyler Perry’s new show lasting for another season. Don’t take my word for it, just watch.

Todays Lesson…

If you are a freelance writer, don’t ever work for an international employer. I’ve learnt the hard way when I signed up to a job board and completed numerous assignments for a client. I remember while doing his work, he started to press me to get all the work in before the deadline. Now that I’ve completed the job, the client has gone missing. He answered one of my emails and none of the others after that. I found out that this man, who is appears to be more “hungary” than I am for money, is a senior member of Parliament overseas. And he can’t even cough up $180 dollars. Bummer!
